1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Imperial Quiz ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Imperial Quiz is a free, community-driven quiz platform for Age of Empires II players. The Service allows users to take quizzes, track their progress, earn experience points, and contribute questions for community review.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during registration. You may not share your account or allow others to access it. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

4. User-Generated Content

Users may submit quiz questions and other content ("User Content") for community review. By submitting User Content, you represent that:

  • The content is original or you have the right to submit it.
  • The content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
  • The content is not offensive, abusive, discriminatory, or illegal.

You grant Imperial Quiz a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your User Content within the Service. We reserve the right to review, moderate, edit, or remove any User Content at our sole discretion.

5. Intellectual Property

Age of Empires II is a registered trademark of Microsoft Corporation. Imperial Quiz is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft. All game-related content is used for educational and entertainment purposes under fair use.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Service.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems.
  • Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities instead of reporting them.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Interfere with the normal operation of the Service.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to the Service or its users. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. In no event shall Imperial Quiz be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Spain.

  • Usage data: quiz responses, scores, experience points, rank progression, and submitted questions.
  • Technical data: IP address and browser user agent, collected automatically for security and abuse prevention.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data under the following legal bases (GDPR Article 6):

  • Consent: you voluntarily create an account and provide your data.
  • Contract performance: processing is necessary to provide the Service (quizzes, rankings, progress tracking).

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may be processed by our hosting provider solely for the purpose of running the Service. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising services.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy
